Apple - Carlos Queen

Introduced in 1972 by Robert Erskine of Rocky Mountain House, AB. It is Sterile to it's own pollen so will need another variety of apple tree grown within the vicinity for proper pollination. The apples will keep in cold storage for 8 weeks after harvest. Great cooking, baking and dessert apple. Medium to large in size, green ripening to yellow with a blush on the sun kissed side. It is resistant to browning when exposed to oxygen but it bruises fairly easily.
